Monumental masons are specialised masons working in a variety of natural stone to make predominately memorials, commemorative pieces or signage.  Using traditional hand carving methods, our skilled masons are able to create bespoke pieces working closely alongside our customers from the design to completion.  As we use hammer and chisels, we can work in-situ to add inscriptions, following the design of the existing if necessary, or we can repair/re-gild or repaint existing to renovate. Occasionally it is necessary to bring a headstone back to our worktop for carving additional inscriptions or if it is necessary, to replace the memorial foundations but we will always advise beforehand if this is the case.
